As of noon hour Friday October 16, 2015, the Norwood Viper Hockey Club, under the ownership of Bob McCleery, will cease any further hockey operations for the 2015-2016 hockey season.
This is a decision that was not easy to make, although with the lack of commitment of players and rulings being forced against the Norwood team by the OHA and ACH, it was a decision that had to be made. It would almost appear that there are rules for some teams and rules for others such as Norwood!
I wish to thank all of the fans, sponsors and players of this team, which have made it a pleasure to be associated with in the past two years. I moved to the area and thought that I might be able resurrect a hockey team in the Norwood area for the fans of this and surrounding communities. I tried, but I guess I failed you all.
All financial commitments to the team will be paid back in full to our fans, sponsors and suppliers. Please allow this to happen within the next few weeks.
Once again, I apologize for anyinconvenience to the best fans in hockey.
